ABOUT ME

I’m Matt McTeague, a Therapist, Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW-S), and Counselor in Columbus, Ohio. I offer counseling services to people seeking treatment for addiction and dependence, anxiety and depression, as well as eating disorders, body dysmorphia, personality disorders, and other mental health issues. Additionally, I use my experience as a counselor to help people with sexual identity, sexual orientation, and interpersonal relationship issues.

As a therapist, I care deeply about providing a safe, non-judgmental space for reflection, honesty, and vulnerability. With my style of therapy, the aim is to help people overcome obstacles and self-imposed barriers they may face so that they can flourish in their personal lives. I'm an individual therapist that utilizes a multi-faceted approach to treatment that includes various types of therapeutic interventions including cognitive-behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), strength-based, person-first, solution-focused, and direct reality-based psychodynamic styles. At times effort and work outside of the therapy session may be required. If you're living with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship issues, or are just simply feeling overwhelmed, let's talk.

"ART therapy changed my life. I went from having anxiety constantly throughout the day to having minimal anxiety throughout the week. I no longer fear difficult situations and am no longer in fight or flight mode. I felt tired after ART therapy and was anxious about starting it, but it has changed my life for the better."
